Okay, I fixed the Winner's Circle stuff. There were some problems there!

I see that the instructions and the game 1 and 2 text files are now included in the Mac download. Thanks for saving me from having to download two files!
But the categories and subjects still say "$100,000 Pyramid panel in action" and "Test Text". Maybe it could be a factor in the conversion to .swf, or it could be a bug in the code that prevents the swf from recognizing the text files.
Looks like we're gonna need a RC3...

There will probably be a RC3 before it's all said and done regardless. But I'm still not convinced there's a problem with the program unless I hear from more Mac users. I mean, regardless of the operating system or whether it's the exe or swf (the exe is the swf in disguise), it should still work. Besides, when I test my program, they are SWF files. There's no magical EXE-to-SWF conversion. You're not having problems with FFPS and Pyramid reads much the same way.
Out of curiousity, are you trying to run the program from a zip program? If so, it won't work. You need to extract all the files to a folder on your hard drive.

Aha...the plot thickens. After running Virtual PC (a PC emulator), every works fine running the EXE even though it's ridiculously slow. But it still doesn't work on the SWF version. Hmmm... What I do for the SWF version is that I drag the SWF file into a web browser's window, and it usually works fine. But somehow, it's not recognizing the text files... both Feud's surveys and Fast Money answers worked fine there. Mac users, unite!

If it's not working, I'll remove the link. But I'll have to hear from more Mac users before making that determination. And even if all Mac users "united" against me, there's absolutely nothing I can do about it. There's no smoke and mirrors to this: If the SWF is running from the directory above the Game1 and Game2 folders, it will work.

For release candidate 3, try this...
START OF SHOW:
After the set brightens, the next press of PgDn should not only stop the theme from playing, but hold the animated lights still with all lights steadily on; the "freezing" of a frame in the light animation is true to the early days of the show (1973-81). With the next press of PgDn, we should get a shot of the Left Team's table, then another press of PgDn should get a shot of the Right Team's table (this is so that the the host can conduct his opening interviews with the celebrity and civilian players, and if Nipsey Russell were on show, this would be the time when he would recite his poetic words of wisdom for the day, or if John Moschitta, Jr. were on the show, this would be the time when he would do his famous fast-talk). Of course, the Left Team always consisted of the female celebrity and one civilian; the Right Team always consisted of the male celebrity and the other civilian. The next press of PgDn should return to the wide shot of the set; this is where the host reminds everybody about the Winner's Circle (abbreviated WC from this point on), where all the big money is won. One more press of PgDn and the gameboard for the front game should appear.
MISSING SET ELEMENTS:
On the wide-angle shot of the set, I've noticed that two props are missing--the red WC chairs and the host's main game podium.
ABOUT THE PLAYERS' FRONT GAME TABLES:
I've noticed the Left Team's table showing the giving player's monitor on the celebrity's side of the table all of the time and the Right Team's table showing the screen on the civilian's side of the table all of the time. Is there a way to adjust the placement of those monitors?
AT THE END OF THE FRONT GAME:
Since there is more than one player on each team, the flashing text "WINNER" (with quotes) should be made plural as on the show--i.e. "WINNERS". NOTE: In the early years (1973-81), the flashing text message was "THE WINNERS".
On a tie breaker, the first item is the correct item in the tie breaker category, but the next item is still from the last category used in regulation play.
WC
In the instruction document, you make a reference to Donny Osmond's version of the show when you list "Ready..." as a WC cue. Instead of "Ready...", Dick Clark always used the phrase, "Here is your first subject..." as the cue to turn the first trilon, and "Go!" as the cue to get the game underway and start the clock ticking down.
At the end of a round in the WC, if a "zap" (goofed answer) occurred during game play, any unlit pyramid trilon should turn to show the category goofed up on so that the host can use it as a reference to explain what the giving player did wrong.
Since this is the $100,000 Pyramid, if any WC round is won, keep the time on the clock so references can be taken as to how fast the WC round was completed because on the show, the three civilian players who completed the WC in the shortest length of time over a period of six or seven weeks, came back to compete in a special tournament described at the bottom of this post.
WC GRAND PRIZES IN REGULAR GAMES:
WC #1 is always for $10,000.
If the Left Team won Game #1, WC #2 is for $10,000 if the Left Team wins Game #2 or $25,000 if the Right Team wins Game #2.
If the Right Team won Game #1, WC #2 is for $10,000 if the Right Team wins Game #2 or $25,000 if the Left Team wins Game #2.
Why is this you ask? Because on the show, after WC #1, the civilians switched over to the opposite tables to switch celebrity partners.
SETTING UP $100,000 TOURNAMENTS
Set up the Main Game so that there are absolutely NO "7-11" or "Mystery 7" tiles in place. It should be just a straight game with no bonuses, except for the $5,000 bonus for breaking a 21-21 tie.
All WC rounds are not for $10,000 or $25,000, but $100,000, until it is won. In the event of a $100,000 win at WC #1, WC #2 should be played for a regular $10,000.

Great work Todd, man I can't get enough of this game. so yeah there isn't much else that I can see to report other then I'm surprised no one has mentioned or noticed that when u win in the winners circle the trilons don't flash like they do on the show when u win. Just an FYI for ya. other then that it's great. oh just curious any news on when and if there will be a pyramid presentation software helper? I know u mentioned u couldn;t get a hold of someone to help u write this, just wondering if u have had any luck since? sorry one last thing I noticed in the bonus round and after the games done the music stops after a while and doesn't keep playing like at the end of family feud it just repeats, I'm wondering if Pyramid will be like that too or no? and forgot to mention in the bonus round when u win too if it's possible to make the 10,000 or 25,000 or 100,000 flash till u hit the page down to go to the next round, cause I notice after a while the sign stops flashing. just a few things I noticed, anyway keep up the good work Todd ;D

To jeffp:
Thanks for the write-up. I'll try to answer the bulk of your posting.
About the start of the show; thanks for pointing out that the lights need to all stay lit on the WC board. This, along with the missing podium and chairs are all things I'm aware of and will be fixed at some point. I'm actually planning on working with the graphics some more. Just keep in mind that I'm trying to make the game work first and then go back and fix graphics and animations. One thing about cutting to the shots of the player tables as they're being interviewed: I'm not planning on doing that. I'd rather leave the logo on the screen instead of cutting to shots of the tables with no people in them. So I don't consider this to be something that's "missing" from the game; it was left out intentionally.
About the viewing monitors on the game tables: it's too much for the game operator to worry about changing the monitor over from one side to the next. In trying to keep the controls as simple as possible, I just let them alternate and leave them as static images.
The flashing "Winner" text is wrong but with a purpose in mind. Because the two shots of the player tables have no contestants pictured, it's hard to know which table you're looking at with a quick glance. I changed the text over so it's quite clear who the winner is.
Yep, I messed up in the instruction manual. Hmm...I know I changed it. I must have reverted back somehow when I was working with the file. It'll be changed.
The WC winning amount rule you mentioned is something I haven't heard of yet. I know, of course, that the civilian players switch partners. I've just never been enlightened on that particular rule.
Finally, if you don't want 7-11's or Mystery 7's, then it's as simple as not putting the position in the text file. I need to document that.
The tiebreaker question probably doesn't work because the text file doesn't have the ampersands where they should be. That will be a quick fix.

Just a little note. When the WC is not won, the screen will fade to black upon PgDn, before advancing back to the main game. When the WC is won, this does not happen. Just in case you wanted to add that.
Other than that, AWESOME WORK!

Yeah, the victory doesn't fade. I'm still working with a transition from the Winner's Circle to the next game. If you'll also notice, the set background immedietely changes to red instead of staying blue. Lots of little things like that need to be worked on.
