For those who don't really know me all that well, I have a little list of things I want to either do or accomplish before I die and go on to bigger and better things. Some things have been accomplished; I got a good education, I got married (never thought that would happen), and, for the most part, I think I've made a at least a small difference. Still left on my to-do-before-I-die list are a couple of things including traveling, reproducing, you know, the usual stuff. Well I just added something else to this list and it is to meet a Tennessee mountain goat. What's so halarious about these goats is they can actually fall down if scared or startled. For example, if you're face to face with one, you can stomp your foot, clap, and yell "BOO!" and they'll just fall over. Now who said God didn't have a sense of humor? They don't faint. They have a high muscle to bone ratio and when startled, the adrenelin rush causes lactic acid to build up in their muscles which causes their legs to "lock up" or stiffen. If they're running or off-balance in their stiffened state, they fall over. They get up a few seconds later as if nothing ever happened. Now I'm thinking, what if there's a thunderstorm and a sudden clap of lightning struck near a group of these things? Couldn't you imagine all these goats falling all over the place? Well, for some reason, that doesn't scare them. Darn. To see a picture, go to www.lucky7faintinggoats.com. Look at the very bottom of the page and it's right there. :-) Have fun!

!!!
I saw this on TV one time, only with a whole bunch of the goats running around...It was so bizarre yet hilarious to watch them just freeze and topple over, then struggle to get back up.
