According to Ray, Viet Pho will be back tomorrow to "see if he can take over my job". I don't know what's going to happen, but I will be taping it just in case something funny DOES happen, and I hope all of you do too.

I think Ray was just joking. We'll see when we watch the show today whether he was serious or not but I doubt he was.

We still don't know if Viet Pho "co-hosted" the show with Ray Combs or not. The show today was the first of a week of music all-stars including Dionne Warwick, Vanessa Williams, Luther Vandross, and Little Richard. Not sure if this is the next show in sequential order or if FF took a break from the normal families for the all-star week and will continue with normal families 5 episodes from now or not. I assume we'll know next Wednesday (as there are no Friday or Sunday airings of Combs' Feud).

I'm sure will find out when it's over if Viet will be back or not.

I think Ray was just joking. We'll see when we watch the show today whether he was serious or not but I doubt he was. I don't think Ray was joking. On yesterdays show, Ray mentioned Viet during the monologue and talked about why he didn't show the day after losing the game. The Pho's lost on a Friday, and Viet was supposed to return on Monday. However, Ray also said that Viet was going to return NEXT Monday. So that means to watch (or tape) Ray's Feud on Sept. 1, 2004 for "The Viet Pho Show"!

should be interesting none the less if anything happens Indeed! Today's the day folks, the one we've all been waiting for! I don't know what (if anything) is going to happen. Has anyone seen this particular episode before?

Viet Pho was introduced at the beginning. He is Ray's cohost on the show. He only stuck around for one question sadly. At the beginning he says he was the new star of the show, and that Ray was no more. Then Ray, snuck on the set, and Viet goes: "He was supposed to be tied up in the back." ;D
Before he leaves though, Ray tell him to try Wheel of Fortune. LOL Good stuff.

From the time Ray "sneaks" onstage to the end of round 1, it felt very akward. From my point of view, nothing "outrageous" happened. I could just tell that Ray wanted to yell "CUT!" and personally throw Viet off the stage. Judging from TPIR, i'm guessing it's a three-foot drop. Viet probably wasn't aware that you CANNOT stand directly in front of a contestant that you are talking to, nor should you ever...EVER have your back to the camera or an audience.

I just watched the episode. If Viet didn't have such as accent and if he would remember to keep the game moving, I think he would have been a great host. While Richard and Ray knew when to make jokes and how long to allow it to continue before getting back to the game, Viet would joke too much and look at the audience and would have had a hard time getting the game done in the alotted time if he had hosted alone. I really wish that Ray would have done like Richard Dawson did when Sammy Davis Jr. guest hosted. Richard came out, talked a bit, and then went to the production area while Sammy had the stage to himself.
I put up a digital video of Viet's performance at the GSF Video Vault (http://www.gameshowfavorites.com/videovault) in Windows Media format. The quality is pretty poor in order to keep a managable file size, but it's good enough to get an idea of Viet's performance if you missed the episode.
