It will not be able to play original Game Boy games or even Game Boy Color games. See, the Game Boy Advance has the actual hardware of the original Game Boy as part of its design. They opted to leave the original Game Boy hardware out of the DS because of cost concerns. Don't worry, I'm sure we'll see someone emulate the original Game Boy games on the DS. And yes, I believe the next consonle system from Nintendo will debut next year. Until then, they plan on fully supporting the current Game Cube. Hooray, since I own one of these systems!

Nintendo is developing a brand new side-scrolling Mario game for the DS (finally!). That's something to look forward to, IMHO.

It's suppose to have a really good multiplayer mode on it from what I hear as well as very unique gameplay. The only screenshots I've seen from it so far were when they covered it at E3. It showed Mario being as tall as the entire screen and that really intrigues me. The only thing I'm wondering right now when it comes to the DS is what kind of Zelda game they will be making for it.

I'm so happy ;D. Yesterday I got a call from Electronic Boutique telling me that they are distrubiting Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas today at 7:00 P.M. (PST) So I'm going to wait in line and get my greedy hands on a copy (I can't wait!!! .) I'll make a post tomorrow telling you my first impressions.

Time for me to give my first impressions. Since I can't wait to get back to the game I'm going to keep it short and sweet.
Good: Very vast, tons of stuff to do, very fun.
Bad: Bad aiming system, Bad camera angles when you fight or drive.
It's deffinatly worth picking up if you are the fan of the series. You will be awe strucked as to how diffrent it is from the III and Vice City. Instead of the 100 point health and body armour meter you have life bars. It feels completly diffrently which is one of it's problems. When you go into gun fights auto aim doesn't always work for and instead have you aim your gun manually. Why they messed with a good formula there I have no idea. Also when you are driving sometimes the camera messes with you. Other than that it is so big, so vast and so much to do you won't really moan that much.
My initial results...... I give it a 4.......out of 5 (Thus far I've only played with it half-a-day so it might get better or worse. If it does I'll let you know.)

Awsome, hope it comes to xbox next year. To go with San Andreas, G4TechTV has turned into GTAtv to celebrate! Every show has something to do with Grand Theft Auto, plus, X-Play is reviewing it tonight! I might get GTA Advance, Iono yet.

YEAA! I know what I'm saving up for! And about the battery life, I don't think 4 to 6 hours is that bad considering how much power this thing's shelling out.

That's a lot cheaper than I thought it was going to be. I still hear that the American release might not be until next fall. Maybe I'm wrong.
The 4-6 hour thing plays an important factor for me anyway. When I travel one of the things I want in a portable system is long battery life. When it's only 4-6 hours that requires a crap load of batteries.
Another rumor that I heard recently is that the next playstation system might be PSP compatible so when you are home you can pop it into your PS3 ;D. If that's true I probably won't buy the PSP system and just buy the PSP games instead.
