As I mentioned in a few post, I did audition for Family Feud. Todd this post is in responce to your post asking to explain it in the general form so her it goes ;D
We had to audition for the show in two parts. Both where in New York City. The first audition we all had to be there as a family and sat in a room with everyone else that was auditioning that day. There was also a camera crew there the day we audition from our local news channel was covering the story. Two teams at a time went up to the front of the room and played a short version of the game. We meet with the contestant conordinator by the name of Beverly P. ( if you watch the credits at the end you will see her name) My dad was the head of the family and we went threw the intro process like they do at the beginning of the show. When my dad came to me he intro'ed me as "the reason why my family is there his son Frank." We played about 2 questions. One of the question i remember was "REAL OR FICTIONAL, PAST OR PRESENT, NAME A FAMOUS LOVER?". When it came to my turn I drew a blank but said GEORGE WASHINGTON becuase he slept in everyones bed. When the game came to an end they thanked us all for being there and said that we will get a letter in the mail if we passed the first audition and a date and time to meet with the producer of the show Howard Felcher. A few weeks later we got our letter.
We arrived for our second audition at the same location but a differnt room. This time we where all instructed by Berverly P. ( who was very friendly and I think took a liking to us) to sit in one room but the families where brought into another room two at a time to meet Howard. Our time came and we where brought into the next room with another family. Pretty much the whole process as the first audtion was repeated ( along with the JAMACIA answer) Once everything was done Howard thanked us all for being there and said if we where choosen to be on the show we will receive a letter in a few weeks. BUT, even if we get a letter it does not guarantee an apperance on the show. We left the room and went back into the waiting room to get our coats. Beverlee P. came out of the audition room and over to us to say it was a pleasure meeting you and WE WILL SEE YOU ON THE FEUD and winked at us. ( I dont think she was suppost to do that but she must of liked us enough not to make us suffer the wait) we really wasnt sure if what she did really meant we made it but a few weeks later we got our letter.
Time came and went but we where never called to be on the show. I have called this new version of Family Feud to see if our old audition is good enough to be on the show or do we have to re audition . We do have to re audition but they will not be in the New York area this year.
So that was my experiance with Family Feud. Just wish I made it on the show. But instead of the Feud I made it on THE PRICE IS RIGHT and won a bed. If anyone is interested in that story let me know and ill post that one too.
Also I still have the letters from Family Feud for both auditions. If anyone is interested in seeing them or could post them on here for me let me know. I will scan them and email them too you. Hope you enjoyed my Feud story and if you have any question just ask :-)
