I've heard of software called "Wild Tangent" that's probably the same kind of thing. Spysweeper keeps saying you have it because you're constantly going to a website that has the installer for this software in its code somewhere. As long as you visit that site, or go to sites with banner ads from a particular server out there, you're going to keep re-downloading it each time you visit.
It sounds like you're using the free version of Spysweeper. You can buy a version of Spysweeper that will not only detect installed software on your machine, it will prevent these programs from installing themselves in the first place. Check out lavasoft's web site for more details about that.
If you're running XP, you may consider downloading Service Pack 2 if it won't conflict with the hardware and software already installed on your machine. Of course, whatever version of Windows you're using, it's always a good idea to install the latest critical updates and patches to ensure your machine us up to date and as safe as it can be on Microsoft's end.

A really good free spyware program is Ad-Aware SE, downloadable from Tucows' site. Make sure it's the SE personal edition or something like that.
Another key to that is keeping it updated. Ad-Aware has an update feature where it checks the website to see if there is an update.

Just keep in mind that using this software will not "block" spyware and malware from being installed on your machine. To block malicious software from being installed on your computer, this company has a paid program as well. It's not until you pay for it that it will block.
