Wow! That's a big house. Any house that big cost a $1,000,000 in my next of the woods.

Well, thanks for the compliments. I have some more pictures that haven't been scanned yet. I'll put them up after I scan them.
I always think it's cool to see faces to names sometimes, especially if it's someone you've known or heard of for a while.

Thanks, sonicman but no, it's not a mansion! It's almost 1,800 sq. ft., 4 bedrooms, 2 1/2 baths. One bedroom is used for my office, another is used for a living room with our entertainment equipment. Kathy and I bought the house a few months before we got married. We spent that time getting it ready, repainting all the rooms, cleaning up, etc. When we arrived home from our honeymoon, which was when Hurricane Isabel passed through, it was complete. We love our home!
The second picture was the weekend we were in Myrtle Beach, SC right before Tropical Storm Gaston came through last summer. There's still some sunshine coming through the clouds! My brother lives out there and we were out visiting them. I bought the truck in 2000 and love it. It has 93,000 miles on it and I haven't had the first problem with it. (Wish we could say the same about my wife's '99 Grand Am).

Finally, I can put a face (which IMO you were too modest about) with the name ^_^ (You actually look like someone I know; I can't put my finger on who, though ...) That house does look big as well -- reminds me of the houses that are about a block away from me (when I'm at home, that is) that are around $500k-$1m.

I've been told I look like a basketball player by the last name of Stockton (sp?) but never Mark Cuban. I sort of favor him. Who knows, maybe his mother's mailman and my mother's mailman were the same person? ... (Hint: Mommie, why do I look like the mailman?)
FrankieV, we dont' get much snow around here. So when we got that one last year I made sure to take some pictures! Four or five years ago, though, we had a 18"-20" snow and that's RARE for North Carolina. And for the other comment, I almost always picture software programmers as guys with glasses, ponytails, and some kind of facial hair.
Every summer we deal with the threat of hurricanes and tropical storms. Most of the time they don't pose a huge threat but there are many exceptions. We get a lot of rain and storms from hurricane reminants. Fran came right through our area in 1996 and cause serious damage. Last year we just had so many, it caused major flooding and landslides west of us. But yeah, it seems like whenever I go on a trip, there's a hurricane around the corner!
