Insights on '76 bank displays

It may just be me but I've always wondered why the numbers looked the way they do for the original Family Feud on the bank and score displays. Again, I'm sure I'm the only person who has ever wondered this but if you've ever seen a cross-stitch sampler pattern, it looks like some of the numbers were made to reflect some of the characters used in cross-stitching. Notice especially the 9 character. I don't know; it's just a random thought.

I figured as much. I don't know how to spell it but I took a test called "Asvab." It's something you take that tells you what kind of job would be best for you if you joined any of the armed forces. I blew the coding/pattern test out of the water.
