If you have watched Ray's Feud religiously for almost two years, you might've noticed something. If not, I'll explain. On June 2, 2003 for the first time ever after watching the "UCLA vs. USC" tournament, I saw an "regular" show at home on the dish. The first family that was announced (by Art James) was the MARACIN family. A bearded man named "Dwayne" was the captain. The episode was from the CBS network version from 1991. WAIT A MINUTE!! WASN'T THAT FAMILY JUST ON THE X-MAS '89 FEUD TODAY!? IS THAT LEGAL!!!

I don't see why not. After all a number of families during the Dawson era appeared on both the network and syndie versions, so it couldn't have been that big a deal.

I don't know how often it happened, but near the end of the Dawson version's run, Richard would often tell the losing family "we'll try to use you on our other show."

If I recall right, one of the families (or both) from the first ABC episode, also played on the first nighttime show.
