I don't like to rain on a happy parade, but "perfesser" Steve Beverly does have a history of being inaccurate. There was an April 1st story that ran on his site saying that Dick Clark was going to be the host of syndicated Millionaire.
Needless to say, he checked the message board and "broke the news" first before he double-checked to see if the story was real or fake. Needless to say, it was a fake story. But since he put it on his web site, there was a lot of buzz about it. So much that Dick Clark's publicist had to deny that he was going to do such a thing.
The moral of the story: double- and triple-check your references before you post a "news" story.
If it was renewed (and it's very likely it was), Philadelphia probably hasn't picked it up since the station it was on got bought by an all-Christian network.
