Todd-- Just thought I'd let you know that we used the Challenge version of your FF program for our Homecoming Pep Rally as our main game for Homecoming Points and it was a gigantic hit. The whole school was really into it and the students had a great time. The faculty was extremly impressed! There were several comments from people that expressed the fact that they couldn't believe it was so realistic and easy to use.
I've even been asked to use it for a Student Council convention the school I work at is hosting.
You should be very proud! It's an excellent program and I can't wait to use your other games in my class and school as well.
Kudos! ;D

Thank you VERY much for posting this! I'm so glad the program went over so well at your school. I take much pride in my work and especially love seeing it used in the educational world.
If you can, I'd love to see some photos if they're available. If not, thanks at least for posting. I love hearing feedback!

Unfortunately our district doesn't allow photos of students unless they are on our own website.

Unfortunately our district doesn't allow photos of students unless they are on our own website. What about photographs taken when the area was vacant, or were all of photos taken during the game?

Can you tell us what happened at the game?
Were you wearing a suit or anything more formal than usual?
What were the questions?
What were the answers?
Any "outrageous" moments?
Did you "Show them CONDOMS!" LOL
Would you say your hosting style was "Dawsonesque", "Combsesque", "Andersonesque", or "Karnesque"?

As far as pictures goes, there really weren't any taken that I could find from talking to people at school. Our homecoming rally included a ton of new items and activities this year and we really were "trialing" everything so we were more focused on making sure everything went smoothly. If I find any pics of a vacant area, I'll try and post them. As far as the set-up, we played 3 games to 200 points S-S-D-D-T set-up with the Triple Round as a 1-ques. tie-breaker. We never made it to the 5th round as teams were able to win in the 3rd or 4th round. I hosted the program and b/c the rally ended up running 25 min. behind by the time we started game #1, there wasn't much time to establish a hosting personality. If I had to say who I was most like, I would have to say when I asked for the answers it was a "Dawsonesque" delivery and the rest was more of a (and I know I'm crossing over into a different game show now...but...) Bob Barker-like delivery during the rest of the game b/c we were really pressed for time as we were trying to play catch-up vs. the clock. I felt like I was hosting a pricing game (time-wise) much of the time which was much different than when I have used this in my classroom. We played all three games in less than 8 min. each. So yes, it was really fast. But overall, it was a really good time and we're thinking about doing it again next year as we plan on re-tooling the schedule to allow for the 15 min./game we originally had planned. All of the questions had a Homecoming theme to them and we surveyed 100 kids in the school (25 from each of the four grades). Not much time for outrageous moments and my attire was casual Friday (as is the tradition for the rally). Hope this answers some of the questions posted.

Sounds neat. One thing though, did you have yourself get introed separately for each game?

Let me guess... 9, 10, 11 and 12th grade? What does "b/c" mean? Was there an "announcer" to introduce you and the "families"? Was there a "judge"? Did you carry a cordless mic, a wired mic, or a lavaliere mic? You said you couldn't show pictures because the district didn't want the student's faces shown. Why not simply "erasing" or "pixelizing" the students faces? All we really want to see is the set.

As stated before, there are no pics to be found at this time. If I find some, I'll see what I can do. To answer your other questions: 4 grades: 9-12 b/c: is shorthand for because Announcer?: I announced the families, I did not announce myself nor did anyone else announce me. Judge?: Yes, she sat behind the person controlling the game. Mic?: Cordless Set?: We projected the set against the large white wall in the gym...it was about a 20' high screen for the game board. A face-off table with a buzzer system (not connected to game) was in front and two tables (one for each family) were on the sides.

Did the buzzer system lockout once someone rang in?

Did the buzzer system lockout once someone rang in? Adamjk--The buzzer system did indeed lock out the other team. The person controlling the game was able to see the light when it lit up for the team that buzzed in first and hit the corresponding button on the FF game to show the audience who rang in first. Barneyg--Glad I could answer all of your questions!
