I use different versions:
For 300 point games:
S-S-S-D-T (normally) S-S-D-D-T
For 400+ point games:
S-S-S-S-D-D-T S-S-S-S-D-T

My 300 point games: S-S-D-T
My 400 point games: S-S-S-D-D-T
My 500 point games: S-S-S-S-D-D-D-T
I only tried the 500-point game once and it was won in R5. Then again, it was a total shut-out. One of the questions in that game was, "Name a state with two words in its name." One contestant's response: New Orleans. Who ever thought that New Orleans was a state?

A few months ago when my church did Family Feud, I also used the S-S-S-D-T until 300 pts. rule. Though I'm a big fan of the 400 point rule used in 1985, we needed to move on so two complete games could be played.
Speaking of funny answers, the question used for one round was to name something a husband borrows from his wife. Someone said "underwear." We have yet to let him live that answer down.

Well if we are talking about funny answers. When my family and I audition for the real Family Feud with Ray Combs, the question was NAME A BEUTIFUL STATE TO VISIT? My sister hit the buzzer and yelled out JAMAICA. Howard Felcher was like JAMAICA not a state unless you count JAMAICA QUEENS NY. To this day she hates when we bring this up LOLOLOLOLOL

If not, I'm sure we'd all be interested to hear about it in the general forum.

Speaking of stories about funny answers last month our family had a reunion. Needless to say we had to get in a a couple of games of Family Feud. Right before we played we all decided to have mexican food for dinner. After everybody was full we started to play and boy was it a riot. My aunt on one team not only gave one but two funny answers.
Me: Name something that performs better if it's warmed up first?
My Aunt buzzes in : My husband.
The room bursted up in laughter. Later on during fast money my aunt gave an even funnier answer.
Me: Name something that makes your car ride roughly?
My Aunt unexpectdly farts and then says laughingly: Bad gas
Everybody in the room was laughing for awhile. I laughed so hard I teared up. It's one of those things you'd have to be in person to have seen but it was funny.

Usually: S-S-S-D-T (to 300 points) or: Bullseye-S-D-T (to 300 points)
If I were to play a 400-point game, I'd probably play it as either S-S-S-S-D-D-T or S-S-S-S-D-T (most likely the first of those two); the Bullseye round would count as the first two Single rounds.

I got a Formula in which is not Really Show based but Evened Round Base , In which I try to add up to 100
Version 1 1=40 2=25 3=15 4=10 5=5 6=5
Version 2 1=30 2=25 3=20 4=15 5=10 6=5
Double V1.0 1=40 2=30 3=20 4=10
Double V2.0 (also Triple) 1=50 2=25 3=15 4=10
Triple V1.1 1=50 2=30 3=20
Triple V2.0 1=55 2=25 3=20
And BTW for my games V1= 1,1,2,2,3etc (300) V2= 1,1,1,2,2,3etc (400/500) V3= 1,2,3 (1,000?!?!)
