A cue in the FF 88 package is pretty much a version of the regular face-off cue without the lead...It's too bad they never used anything like it on the show...During the 2nd part of the file, I was simply messing around with mixing different tracks in different speakers to create a stereo effect. uploadengine.com/getfile.php?file=1104778527.zip

How did you do it? I loved it. Is it possible for you to give us a higher quality download?

Hello, TalkingHeadsFan. Here's some information for you: The 1976 Family Feud main theme actually began with the 1st 7 seconds of the faceoff similar the cue that you just posted, & is followed by the opening fanfare similar to the 1988 theme. There's no doubt in my mind that the 1988 main theme is exactly like that. Do you think that you can post the entire leadless banjo faceoff cue in mp3 type? Also, is it possible that you can edit all of the 1988 faceoff cues without drums? Finally, do you have the 1976 electric guitar faceoff cue? If so, would you please post it online? Thanks, & have a very blessed day.

No, the "leadless" banjo cue from 1976 was not the first seven seconds of the main theme song. Well, at least not technically. It's the same background track the main theme and all faceoff cues are based off of but the banjo face-off cue is much, much heavier on the banjo and doesn't incorporate all the instruments the main theme does at the beginning of the song before the horns come in (the aforementioned point the '88 theme songs starts at).
I have a 1988 theme that starts out exactly like the 1976 theme does. There's nothing that special about it; after making some simple edits, you could produce something just as good with a simple wav editor.
