I can provide some help with the look of the 1988 (or if you want, the 1992) set, design, music, rules. Let me know. I do have Combs-only music that would help authenticate the conversion better, if you wish.

Thanks very much for the offer. John of JRJGames.com donated a tape to me of a couple of Family Feud Challenge games. I think between the number of shows on the tape, I will have a good idea of how everything is supposed to look.
This must take some kind of act of God to uncover, but the only song I don't have in my posession is the darn 1976 electric guitar face-off cue. No one seems to have it!
I also have only the shortened 1976 fiddle and harmonica cues. The complete songs last :45 seconds or so. Anyone who can shed a light on any of these songs, I'd like to hear from.

The banjo cue used for the first round in the presentation is actually the unheard intro to the original "Family Feud" theme. That transitions into another part of the theme that's heard in the Combs theme.
I have the opening and commerical cues in their full length as well. You're right. They're both about 45 seconds long.
However, on the Combs version, ALL cues had added drums to them making them slightly different than on the original.
One other thing, after the 1988 conversion, any thoughts on a 1994 conversion?

KyleCHaight:
I have the uncut theme song from the original Family Feud. The first faceoff cue in my game is the intro to the song you're talking about. The banjo cue used on the show, however, is much louder on the banjo and is accompanied lightly by the organ. I know you will disagree but I'm giving you a musician's insight.
As I said before, I have all of the 88 cues. Additionally, in my '88 collection, I have a cue of just the banjo and bass guitar, a fiddle cue without any precussion at all, and several background music tracks used for all cues and the theme. Remember the cue used for the losing Family in last year's season of the Feud? That's part of my 88 collection as well.
I do have the '76 fiddle and harmonica cue in full length but the quality isn't as good as the music I have in the game.
It would just be nice to complete my Family Feud game with the electric guitar cue. It simply doesn't exist anywhere. When I have a chance, I may just use my computer to compose the electric guitar theme myself.
As far as the 1994 game, I have no plans whatsoever to do such a conversion. To do that, I'd have to see the actual game on tape. I don't have a '94 episode on tape. I've never even seen it.
Check the website out soon. I'm going to post a picture of my work-in-progress Family Feud Challenge gameboard.

I suppose that once the Combs version is released, Rob Rosko will need to somehow update his Family Feud Presentation Assistant program to accommodate the Bullseye round.
