How do I make these games? It's an involved process but I'll stick to the basics.
Before doing anything on the computer, I gather rescources on the show I'm planning on doing. I'll record or find access to sound effects, search the web or view the show to see what camera angles they use, all kinds of things like that.
The next step is usually sound effects and music. I'll record them and modify them for use in my software. Once that's completed...
Graphics are next. I usually take a screen grab of a show and use Photoshop to draw up the graphics. I try to make it look as much like the actual show as possible. Then I'll draw other elements, like strikes, flipping panels, stuff like that.
Now it's time to take everything and make it all work. I use Macromedia Flash 4.0. Everything I've worked on now becomes a library and from there I'll spend time creating scenes, writing code, animating things, testing out, and so on.
Eventually I end up with the product you download and play with. I try to get it right!!
